The bending of a rectangular clamped thin plate under the uniformly distributed
transverse load is considered. The solution of the Sophie Germaine equation is constructed by the
method of initial functions (MIF). On two opposite sides the boundary conditions are satisfied
exactly. Then, on the two remaining ones, the boundary conditions are satisfied approximately by
the collocation method. The results of calculations of the stress-strain state at the corner points of
the plate are given.
