        <p>In this contribution we report on the execution of a real laboratory work on the determination of moment of inertia for a circular disc in order to check Steiner theorem using the experimental setup of the company PHYWE. The results obtained are subjected to mathematical treatment of the basis of mathematical statistics. Analyzing the results, the students have possibility to compare them with the theoretical ones. Experiment planning, modeling and estimating the quality of models developed during the fulfillment of a real laboratory work helps to form research skills of the students.</p>
