        <p>The mechanics of contact interaction of a rigid sphere with a two-layer elasticplastic half-space (topocomposite) that simulates the surface with a thin protective coating is considered. The changes in strain-force contact parameters and certain characteristics of effective (bearing capacity and yield stress) due to strain hardening of the base material of the laminated body are obtained. The results can be used to establish relation between: a) the characteristics of the indentation in the elastic-plastic material and uniaxial tension and b) the values of the mechanical characteristics of the components of the layered elastoplastic body and the values of the composite hardness hardened surface.</p>
