Electronic Stopping Power of Various Organic Compounds for Proton (0.05-10 MeV): a Comparative Study
Electronic stopping power of various organic compounds for proton (0.05-10MeV) calculated using different theoretical and semi-empirical formulations has been analysed in the present investigation. The stopping power values calculated using Ashley's dielectric model (ADM) with evaluation approach for optical energy loss function (OELF) have been compared with the values computed using the theoretical formulation CasP (Convolution approximation for swift Particles) and semi-empirical approach SRIM (Stopping and Range of Ions in Matter). The merits and demerits of the adopted formulations are highlighted in the present energy region. These type of stopping power analyses for proton will be helpful for scientific community to choose best formulation.
